Becoming a Member of Sydney Jazz Club
From September 2025, Membership of Sydney Jazz Club is granted when:
- The Membership Secretary approves an application received by the Committee on the Approved Membership Application Form (On-line or on paper).
- The Membership Fee is paid
Membership is current for 12 months from the month in which payment for Membership is received by Sydney Jazz Club.
The Membership Secretary will issue and deliver a Sydney Jazz Club Membership Card that must be produced at events in order to qualify for discounts and other benefits of Membership. The Sydney Jazz Club Newsletter will be sent by email from the month of Membership.
The Membership Secretary will advise each member in the month prior to the Membership anniversary that renewal of Membership for a further 12 months is required in order to continue to receive benefits. A new Membership Card for the renewed period will be issued once the renewal payment is received.
Fees
Membership for the full year is $25 for Ordinary Members (with voting rights and a Newsletter send by email or available on-line).
Affiliate members: $15 p.a.
Sydney Jazz Club Membership Benefits
Membership of the Sydney Jazz Club brings with it the benefit of being kept up to date with what is happening in the jazz scene of Sydney and surrounds.
Members receive a monthly newsletter detailing events organized by the club, as well as other jazz clubs, in a comprehensive jazz gig guide for each month.
Members and their registered partners-in -jazz (affiliate members) receive substantial discounts to SJC events and also to selected events run by other jazz clubs in the area.
Membership brings with it the opportunity to get together with others with similar appreciation of great jazz to form lasting friendships. The Constitutional Aim of the Sydney Jazz Club is to foster jazz performance in Sydney.

Renewals
The Membership Secretary will give instructions on renewing by direct transfer to our bank account, but if you prefer to use a cheque or cash please download the renewal form and post it or bring it to the Club.
