Last time Slide McBride was at Sydney Jazz Club, he and his band were a hit!
Back by popular demand, Slide McBride and his band will be back at the Freeway Hotel on Wednesday, 13th November.
In their performance earlier this year, Slide and his band lifted the roof off the Freeway Hotel with their driving blues shuffles and highly energetic re-vamps of popular traditional jazz tunes.
Slide McBride is an strong, authentic jazz singer. The fact that he is also a suberb trombonist and trumpeter give the band many dimensions.
Paul Furniss on reeds needs little in the way of an introduction. A true legend of Australian jazz. His experience as a jazz musician is rivaled by few, but one of those few will be leading the rhythm section. This will be Dave Macrae who will be playing, or rather driving, the piano. He will be ably accompanied by Nick Hoorweg on double bass and Dave Kirby on the drums.
